Nashville City Centre 1

Nem só de reuniões e trabalho vive uma viagem pela empresa, certo? Sendo assim, aproveitei o curto espaço de tempo livre que tive e lá fui eu para o centro de Nashville “turistar”.

Como disse anteriormente, a cidade não apresenta tantos pontos turísticos, daí os registros deste post passam muito pela cidade em si, seus prédios, ruas etc, mas não há dúvidas que existem seus atrativos: o Bridgestone Arena – casa do time de hóquei Nashville Predators, o estádio de futebol americano do Tennessee Titans, a sede do Governo e claro a avenida dos bares de música country.

Há outros pontos turísticos, porém um pouco mais distantes do centro da cidade, mas não consegui visita-los. Enfim, foi o que consegui captar numa tarde de sexta-feira antes de voltar para casa.

E para não ficar aquele post gigante, vou quebra-lo em partes.

A business trip is not just meetings and tasks, so the short period of free time I got, I enjoyed it “tourist wandering” through the streets of Nashville City Centre.

As I´ve mentioned before, Nashville does not have a great variety of touristic points to be visited, that´s why the pictures present the city itself: its buildings, streets, etc, but there is no doubt that the city has its attractions: Bridgestone Arena – the house of hockey team Nashville Predators, the American Footbal stadium of Tennessee Titans, the Government buildings and the country music bars avenue, for sure.

There are other touristic points, however they are a little bit far from where I was, so I could not visit them. So, that´s what I got in a friday afternoon before flying back to home.

And to avoid posting a “long post”, I´ll split it in parts.

Nashville

No primeiro post sobre a minha viagem a Nashville, apresentei um pouco do local onde fica o escritório da Bridgestone.

Desta vez, vou mostrar um pouco dos arredores do local onde fica o hotel no qual me hospedei, apenas para dar uma referência para um post depois, onde mostrarei o centro da cidade de Nashville.

This time, I´ll show you a little from the neighbourhood near the hotel where I stayed in. This is just to give you a slight reference as later, in my next post, I´ll show you Nashville city centre.

A primeira vez nos EUA / My first time in USA

A minha primeira viagem internacional foi atípica: foi marcada de última hora. O destino nunca pensado por mim (Taiwan e Shenzhen, China) e foi uma viagem de trabalho.

Assim foi a minha primeira viagem aos Estados Unidos: de última hora, para um destino nao imaginado (Nashville) e também à trabalho.

Em ambos os casos, as surpresas foram bem interessantes.

Nashville é a capital do Tennessee. Conhecida por ser a capital da música country, a pequena cidade de Nashville é também a sede da Bridgestone, empresa onde hoje trabalho.

As supresas desta viagem se deram de várias formas:

- surpresa ao conhecer a sede da Bridgestone

- surpresa de ver o cenário da cidade

- e a grata surpresa de comer Arby´s novamente ..rs (sei que muitos podem nem se lembram o que é Arby´s).

Vou começar esses posts mostrando a região onde fiquei hospedado e a sede da Bridgestone. E, posteriormente, imagens da cidade de Nashville.

My first international trip was unusual. It was scheduled with few days before departure, to a destiny never planned by me (Taiwan and Shenzhen in China) and it was a work trip.

That was exactly what happened to my first trip to US: scheduled few days before departure without previous planning, to a destiny never planned (Nashville) and also a work trip.

In both cases the surprises were interesting.

Nahville is the capital city of the state of Tennessee. It is better known as the capital of country music, Nashville is also the headquarter of Bridgestone Corporation in America, the company where I am working nowadays.

I got surprised in many ways in this trip:

- surprised by the opportunity to visit Bridgestone headquarter

- surprised by the town

- and the great surprise of eating Arby´s sandwich again.

In this post I´ll present the region where I was and Bridgestone headquarter. In another post, I´ll present images from Nashville.
