Carnaval na preguiça / Lazy Carnival

Se você visita esse blog com regularidade já deve ter percebido que durante o Carnaval eu simplesmente fujo do agito tradicional e vou curtir o carnaval em viagens de aventura (só um dos exemplos http://ricbrand.blogspot.com.br/2014/03/petar-day-3.html).

Esse ano, uma vez mais, fugi do agito, mas não fui em direção à aventura como antes… esse foi um carnaval da preguiça no interior de São Paulo.

Foram cinco dias fantásticos para descansar e não pensar em nada.

O sítio para o qual fui apresentava o ambiente perfeito para isso… piscina, churrasco, cerveja, ótima área para uma caminhada e…o mais importante tudo isso na companhia de pessoas divertidas, alto astral e com meu Amore.

Eu estava tão relaxada para esse carnaval que até deixei minha câmera em casa. As fotos foram tiradas com meu celular… sem compromisso… apenas com a preguiça!

If you have been following this blog may have noticed that during the Carnival season in Brazil I have been running away from the traditional carnival spirit and putting myself into some adventure (an example http://ricbrand.blogspot.com.br/2014/03/petar-day-3.html).

This year, once again, I run away from it but not into the adventure as before… it was a lazy carnival in the countryside.

Five great days to rest and avoid thinking on the daily basis problems and situations.

The farm I was invited to was a perfect environment for it… swimming pool, barbecue, beer, nice area for a stroll and…the most important in the company of very nice people and my sweetie.

I was so relaxed this time that even my camera was left at home so these pictures are from my mobile… no commitment in fact… only to be lazy!

Berlin–The dark side

Berlin é uma bela cidade. Ainda em fase de reconstrução, mesmo assim se apresenta simpática, moderna e histórica como as grandes capitais Européias o são. Entretanto, um fato a marcará para sempre – na verdade não apenas Berlin, mas a história da Alemanha – a Segunda Guerra e seus efeitos e lembranças.

Em 2003 eu tive a oportunidade de visitar Auschwitz. Foi num periodo anterior à existência desse blog.

Agora, em 2014, tive outra oportunidade de visitar mais um exemplo das atrocidades da Segunda Guerra – o Campo de Sachsenhausen.

Inicialmente projetado como um campo de trabalho, diferente de Auschwitz que foi um campo de extermínio, Sachsenhausen foi fundado em 1936 e foi um dos primeirios campo da Alemanha Nazista.

Diferente do campo polonês, Sachsenhausen teve pouco de suas contruções e estrutura preservadas. Ainda assim, foi possível conhecer suas instalações.

Outro ponto distinto entre os dois campos é que Sachsenhausen ficava em meio a um bairro de moradores, os quais, na época, não apenhas conheciam o campo como capoiavam o governo Alemão e suas diretrizes. Segundo relatos da guia turística que me acompanhou nessa tour, os moradores na época vaiavam e atiravam objetos nos priosioneiros que passavam em frente às suas casas a caminho do campo.

Faço questão de visitar esses monumentos e registrá-los para que o mundo nunca esqueça que um dia tal barbaridade ocorreu.

Berlin is an amazing city. It´s still under reconstruction, even though it presents itself sympathetic, modern and historical as the main important cities in Europe. However, one sad fact will always be attached to Berlin – not only Berlin, but German history in fact – The Second World War and its memories and effects.

In 2003 I had the opportunity to visit Auschwitz. It was in a period before I launch this blog.

Last year I had another opportunity to visit another example of the atrocities of the Second World War – Sachsenhausen Camp.

It was developed as a work camp, different from Auschwitz which was an extermination camp, Sachsenhausen was established in 1936 and it was one of the first camp in the Nazi Germany.

Different from the Polish camp, Sachsenhausen had few parts of its original buildings preserved, but it was possible to visit a little of it.

Another point of distinction between the two camps is that Sachsenhausen was built in the middle of residential neighbourhood and people who lived at that area not only were aware of the camp as they also were Nazi suppporters. In accordance with the tour guide, the residents at that time hissed and booed to the prisioners who passed in front of their houses to the camp.

When I have the opportunity to visit these place, I do it and also I do want to register them here so I hope the world never forget that such barbarism happened.

Berlin

As surpresas passaram por razões distintas dos outros posts referentes a essa viagem (Vienna e Praga). Se nessas cidades, os seus encantos arquitetônicos foram um dos pontos altos do roteiro, em Berlin ver que a cidade ainda está num grande processo de reconstrução foi uma surpresa.

Outra surpresa foi ver que a Segunda Guerra e sua principal marca, o Nazismo, estão lá, em destaque e presentes no dia dos Berlinenses.

E, não estou falando apenas dos fragmentos do Muro de Berlin, mas de todos os prédios “governamentais” daquela época, das várias exposições, dos monumentos e elementos relacionados ao assunto que se mesclam ao dia-a-dia e à paisagem local.

Esquecendo um pouco esse lado sombrio da Alemanha e da História da Humanidade, essa viagem me permitiu conferir de perto um daqueles símbolos relacionados à música e que sempre me prendeu atenção e ganhou destaque na minha “lista de locais a visitar” – a Antena de TV de Berlin – elemento presente no excelente DVD da banda The Cure chamado Trilogy (só para constar, um outro ponto turístico dessa natureza e que tive a oportunidade de visitar foi o Royal Albert Hall em Londres, onde Siouxsie and The Banshees gravaram o também fabuloso Nocturne).

Bem, melhor do que somente falar, é mostrar o que vi e cliquei nessa viagem. Sendo assim, aqui estão as primeiras fotos do último trecho desse roteiro incrível que começou em Vienna e passou por Praga.

Surprises came in Berlin from different reasons than presented in other posts about this trip (Vienna and Prague). If, in those cities, the architectural enchantments were the peak, in Berlin it was about to notice that the city is still under a rebuilding process.

Other suprise was to see that the Second World War and its main reference, the Nazism, are there in evidence and present in Berliners daily life.

And I am not only talking about the Berlin Wall´s fragments, but also about all the “governmental” buildings from that period, all exhibitions, monuments and elements related to this theme merged into that environment.

Putting this dark side of German and Human History aside for a while, this trip offered me the opportunity to see one of those “symbols” related to music that has always grabbed my attention and which was quoted in my “places to be visited” list – Berlin TV Tower – an element presented on the excelent DVD from The Cure called Trilogy (and just to mention another touristic point of this nature which I´ve also had the opportunity to visit was Royal Albert Hall in London where Siouxsie and The Banshees recorded the fantastic Nocturne).

Well, better than speaking is showing what I saw and photographed in this trip. So, here are the first pictures from the last part of this amazing tour which started in Vienna and pass through Prague.
