Candleland

Na minha visita ao bairro da Penha passei pela igreja matriz onde me deparei com essa sala de oferendas de velas.

Uma sala pequena com algumas velas acesas, esse foi cenário para essas poucas fotos e, por sorte ainda tive a “colaboração” de uma pessoa que lá estava fazendo suas oferendas.

During my visit to Penha district I´ve visited the church where I came across this room of candles.

A small room, in fact, with some candles lighted, that was the scenery for these few pictures. And I got the “help” of a person doing her offerings in Candleland.

O bairro me chamou atenção por nenhum motivo, muito menos o fotográfico, porém aproveitando mais uma saída fotográfica em grupo, e tendo a oportunidade de reencontrar amigos, decidi caminhar pelo bairro da Penha, zona leste de São Paulo e fotografa-lo.

Na diria que há muitas atratividades no bairro, assim fui explorando detalhes que possibilitaram esse post.

O único ponto de atenção específica foi a igreja. Na verdade duas igrejas: uma pequena capela e a matriz do bairro.

Fora isso foi uma ótima oportunidade para conversar sobre fotografia.

The district has not called my attention for any reason nor the photographic one, but enjoying another photo journey in a group and having the oportunity to meet some friends, I decided to wander by Penha district, east zone of Sao Paulo, and take some pictures.

There is no attractiveness in this neughbourhood in fact, so I´ve been exploring some details which I present in this post.

The only point of attraction was the church. In fact, two churches: a small chapel and the main church.

Apart from it, it was a great oportunity of talking about photos.

Salvador/BA – parte 2: detalhes da praia / details of the beach

A praia em frente ao hotel não era apropriada para banho: muitas pedras e mar agitado. Entretanto, proporcionou algumas imagens interessantes já que as ondas batendo nas pedras, alguns pescadores e uns arcos criaram um belo visual.

The beach in front of the hotel is not appropriated for swimming: many rocks and strong waves. Nevertheless, it provided some interesting images as the waves splashing on the rocks, some fishermen and the arches created a great scenery.

Salvador/BA – parte 1: a vista do hotel/ The view from the hotel

O roteiro do meu road show continuou pela orla brasileira e lá fui para Salvador depois de Vitória. Mesmo sem aproveitar os lugares por onde passei, é fato que a vista ajuda ao acordar pela manhã e olhar pela janela do quarto aquela imagem especial.

Um pouco diferente de Vitória, cujas fotos foram apenas da janela do quarto, em Salvador pude “explorar” o cenário ao redor do hotel e, com a boa vontade de um colega de trabalho também passei rapidamente por alguns pontos turísticos da capital Baiana.

Por isso, os posts da Bahia serão em partes: vista do hotel, detalhes da praia e o centro histórico.

A correria é sempre grande nessas viagens, mas é bom arrumar um tempinho para alguns cliques.

My road show tour went through the Brazilian coast from Vitoria to Salvador. As usual I did not have any free time to enjoy the places I´ve visited, but it´s a fact that the view helps a lot when we see a special view like this in the morning by the hotel window.

Different from what happened in Vitoria, where the pictures were taken from the hotel window only, in Salvador I got the opportunity to “explore” the scenery around the hotel and, thanks to the attention of a work mate, I quickly visited some touristic points from the Capital City of Bahia.

That´s why the pictures of Salvador will be split in three posts: view from the hotel, details of the beach and historical centre.

The rush is great in these trips, but it´s always good to have a few moment for some clicks.
