Centro de SP – uns cliques / Sao Paulo city centre – some clicks

André Douek é um fotógrafo profissional. Com larga experiência em fotojornalismo, hoje ele é chefe da Seção Técnica do Museu Histórico da Imagem Fotográfica da Cidade de São Paulo da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura. (http://www.andredouek.blogspot.com/).

Ele também é o responsável por organizar saídas fotográficas na cidade, o que movimenta uma leva de fotógrafos e apaixonados pela fotografia.

Sérgio Antunes é um amigo e um grande artista (fotógrafo e designer) e foi através dele que soube do André e de sua programação. E lá fomos, eu, André e Julio Sannazzaro (outro talento artístico) para este saída que teve o Edificio Copan como cenário principal.

Observar São Paulo de cima deste prédio clássico da cidade foi um privilégio e rendeu algumas imagens interessantes. Porém, os 3 mosqueteiros resolvemos desgarrar do grupo após certo tempo e andarilhar pelo centro da cidade colhendo cliques, o que rendeu imagens e conversas bem legais, além de supresas como a exposição da Laurie Anderson no CCBB e uma exposição fotográfica/vídeo de Angola no SOSO (av. Sao João).

Andre Douek is a professional photographer. Working as photojournalist, he is the present Chief of Sao Paulo Historical Photo Museum – a department of Municipal Secretary of Culture (http://www.andredouek.blogspot.com/).

He is also responsible for organizing some “photographic journeys” around the city which grab the attention of many photographers and people passionate about photography.

Sergio Antunes is a friend of mine and a great artist (photographer and designer). He was the guy who told me about this photo journey. And there we were, me, Sergio and Julio Sannazzaro (another talented artist) to photograph Copan – a classical building in Sao Paulo city centre.

It was a privilege to go to the top of this building and see the city from another perspective. This moment resulted in some nice clicks, however the 3 Musketeers, decided to walk around the city centre itself. Excelent moment for nice pictures, nice talking and nice exhibitions: Laurie Anderson at CCBB and photos/videos from Angola at SOSO.

Just an excelent saturday!

Urban Art

Sempre observei esse tipo de arte e sempre pensei em fotografá-la, mas nunca o fiz. Daí, inspirado pelo blog de Jessica Stewart, uma americana que mora em Roma (http://www.romephotoblog.blogspot.com/) que tem uma habilidade incrivel para fotografar a cidade e, aproveitando que estava com dois amigos no centro de São Paulo numa saída fotográfica, fiz a minha primeira foto de Urban Art.

Essa ilustração está numa travessa da rua 7 de Abril e alem de muito bem feita, decora aquele pedaço monotom da cidade.

Vou procurar por outras e as apresentarei por aqui.

I have always paid attention to this kind of art and I have been thinking of taking pictures of them too, but for one reason or another, I haven´t.

Inspired by Jessica Stewart´s blog (http://www.romephotoblog.blogspot.com/), an american photographer who lives in Rome and whose ability to photograph the city is amazing and taking the advantage of being in Sao Paulo downtown with two other friends photographing it, I took my first picture of Urban Art.

It´s great how this illustration gives colours to that part “so gray” of the city.

As soon as I get some new ones, I´ll post them.

Bricando com Contrastes / Playing with contrasts

O ócio é um problema :). Cá estou em casa, revisitando algumas bandas que há tempos não ouvia e resolvi “brincar” com algumas fotos recém tiradas.

Explorando “efeitos” de contrastes, achei que ficaram interessantes, e por isso, decidi publicá-las aqui.

Free time is a problem :). Here I am at home, in a rainy saturday afternoon, re-listening some bands I have not listened for a long time and decided to “play” with some pictures recently taken by me.

Exploring contrast effects, some of them got nice results, and here they are… decide yourself if they are nice or not!

Oktoberfest Igrejinha

No ano passado, lá estava eu na Oktoberfest em Blumenau com uns amigos. Era apenas um passeio.

Desta vez, foi uma mistura entre passeio e trabalho, porém não foi para Blumenau e sim para Igrejinha, no Rio Grande do Sul.

Se morássemos na Europa, por exemplo, Igrejinha não seria considerada uma cidade, mas sim um vilarejo, já que tem cerca de 40.000 habitantes, e está próxima a Gramado.

Da festa em si, nada de especial para fotografar. Porém, uma paisagem campestre muito interessante rendeu algumas fotos.

Last year, I visited Oktoberfest in Blumenau (in the state of Santa Catarina). There I was with some friends and it was just a trip for fun.

This year, Oktoberfest was a mix between fun and work, however it was not to Blumenau, but to Igrejinha in Rio Grande do Sul.

Igrejinha should be considered a village, not even a town, as it has almost 40,000 people. It´s a town near Gramado town.

The Oktoberfest itself there was nothing that special to take pictures of, nevertheless, the countryside environment gave me some good opportunities to click.

Nunca fui de autoretratos. Creio que seja um descompasso de gerações, já que vejo tanta gente se autofotografando o tempo todo. Mas, toda regra tem sua exceção e essa é a minha.
