Árvores / Trees

Sempre tive um certo encantamento por árvores. Seja no meio da mata, seja no meio da cidade, elas sempre tem o seu glamour.

Contornos retorcidos, proporções variadas, imponência com delicadeza. Ora, totalmente verdes, exuberantes. Ora, secas, esqueléticas.

Ousadia da minha parte querer representar a imensidão da variedade das árvores em algumas fotos, mas já é um exemplo.

I´ve always been enchanted by the image of a tree. No mather if it is in the middle of the forest or in the middle of the city, it is always glamorous.

Twisted shape, differences in size, magnificent and delicate at the same time. Sometimes, totally green. Sometimes, leafless.

I really don´t mean to expose the whole world of the trees, but these pictures present some example of them.

Blumenau

Estive em Blumenau nesta semana. Foi uma viagem a trabalho, e como tal, muito rápida, mas ainda assim, consegui pegar algumas imagens da cidade (ainda que a chuva não dava trégua). Aproveito para agradecer a Elaine, a Dani e o Ricardo, e a todos da Baumgarten, que me receberam com muita atenção.

This week, I spent two days in Blumenau, a town in Santa Catarina state (in the south of Brazil). That was a business trip, so I didn´t have much free time, nevertheless, I got some images from there (even with the bad weather). I want to thank Elaine, Dani and Ricardo for the great reception. Lagoa da Pampulha / Pampulha Lake

Antes que meus estimados amigos mineiros me xinguem, eu vos digo “Em breve, voltarei para visitar cada um de vocês”.

No final de semana passado estive em BH, e ao caminhar pela lagoa da Pampulha e fotografá-la, pensei “quanto tempo morei aqui e não fiz o que estou fazendo agora?”.

É sempre assim. Não importa onde moremos, a partir do momento em que estamos num local como membro da sociedade, sempre postergamos algumas atividades pelo simples fato de podermos fazê-las a qualquer momento. E o resultado é que não as fazemos.

Mas, nunca é tarde para por em prática tais atividades. Por isso, aqui apresento algumas imagens da Lagoa da Pampulha (e sei que alguns de vocês, moradores de Belo Horizonte, vão refletir sobre o tempo em que vocês não caminham ao redor dessa belíssima lagoa!).

Se deixei aquele detalhe que você tanto aprecia sem registro, que sirva de motivação para que você visite a lagoa novamente e aprecie a sua beleza!

I was born in São Paulo, but I´ve lived for six years in Belo Horizonte (which means Beautiful Horizon – and you will see why!) from 2001 to 2007.

Be sure these pictures are a tiny example of this amazing city, located 600 km far from Sao Paulo, almost in the centre of Brazil.

These pictures present a “lake kinda park”, constructed in the middle of the city, which name is Lagoa da Pampulha (Pampulha Lake).

This lake is artificial, but it´s just a detail with no importance (as you will see). On weekends, mostly during the summer, Belo Horizonte citizens enjoy its amazing nature as an inspiration for a walk with the children, jogging, riding a bycicle or simply admire it!

Don´t forget one important detail... We are the Country of Football!!! So, this lake couldn´t be better located than beside Mineirao Stadium.
